Triac Optocoupler
The Underlying Logic of Intelligent Control
A triac optocoupler is a special type of optocoupler composed of an infrared light-emitting diode (IR LED) and a bidirectional triac. Through “electricity–light–electricity” signal conversion, it achieves electrical isolation and signal transmission between the input and output sides.
For example, in a high-speed ionic hair dryer, driven by the MCU (microcontroller unit), the triac optocoupler precisely regulates load power while electrically isolating circuits, enabling stepless speed and temperature control for the hair dryer’s motor and heating element.
