NATIONSTAR Signs White Light Patent Licensing Agreement with General Electric (GE) of the United States

Company News Published: 2016-12-08 Views: 10

Recently, NATIONSTAR has signed a patent licensing agreement for the application of KSF (fluoride) phosphors with GE of the United States, officially obtaining GE’s global patent licensing for corresponding white LED applications.

According to NATIONSTAR’s R&D team, KSF phosphors feature a narrower half-peak width compared with traditional nitride phosphors. They can effectively support the development of high-color-gamut products, delivering clearer images and richer colors on LED displays. In addition, KSF phosphors with a color gamut coverage of 85%–100% NTSC can achieve the color rendering effect of quantum dot TVs. Compared with the high cost of quantum dot technology, KSF phosphor technology is more mature and has become a mainstream high-color-gamut solution in the display market. It can be applied to NATIONSTAR’s white light packaging products, backlight LIGHT BAR products and other related offerings.

NATIONSTAR has always attached great importance to intellectual property rights to support its global market expansion. In October 2015, NATIONSTAR obtained white LED patent licensing from Toyota. The latest white LED patent authorization from GE further optimizes NATIONSTAR’s global patent portfolio, accelerates the exploration and development of overseas markets, and enables NATIONSTAR to shine brightly on the path of internationalization.
